Although he tries admirably, composer Randy Edelman (The Last of the Mohicans, The Mask, While You Were Sleeping) can't come up with an appropriately funny and entertaining score for the Tim Allen/Kirstie Alley let's-pretend-we're-Amish comedy For Richer or Poorer. Most of the problem is the source material, since there simply can't be an "appropriate" score for a comedy as convoluted as this, but Edelman comes close -- there are some themes and moments on the record that make it worthwhile for dedicated fans of the composer.
