Die wohl erste Frage, die in Bezug auf die Neueinspielung der Sei Solo (BWV 1001–1006) von Johann Sebastian Bach entsteht, ist jene nach ihrer Berechtigung: Da es bereits zahlreiche, mitunter legendäre Aufnahmen dieses Werkes gibt, warum dann also eine weitere? Die Antwort liegt in dem kürzlich erschienen Buch Aus der Seele muß man spielen... (Wien 2020), in dem sich die Autorin dieses Vorwortes mit der barocken Affekttheorie und ihren Auswirkungen auf die Interpretation beschäftigt. Die vorliegende Aufnahme des österreichischen Violinisten Daniel Auner stellt nun wohl die erste Aufnahme dar, in der die Prinzipien der Affekttheorie und der musikalischen Rhetorik konsequent umgesetzt wurden. © ARS-Produktion
