Valentina

Valentina Tronel, known as Valentina, was born in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine, on April 6, 2009, to a real estate agent father and an Italian teacher mother. However, it was to singing that she quickly turned. She was just 7 years old when, in 2016, she took part in the fourth season of the TV talent show The Voice Kids, broadcast in 2017. She decided to present herself to the jury with a rendition of Laura Pausini's "Tra Te e Il Mare", but was ultimately unsuccessful in the blind auditions. Despite this, she was asked to join Kids United Nouvelle Génération in 2018, with whom she recorded two albums, Au Bout de Nos Rêves (released in August of the same year), which went platinum, and L'Hymne de la Vie (released in November 2019), which went gold. The youngest member of the group, she launched her solo career when she was selected in 2020 to represent France at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with a song called "J'imagine". She gave her country its first victory in the competition, ahead of candidates from Kazakhstan and Spain. After covering the song "Y'a pas que les grands qui rêvent", popularized in 1989 by the Belgian singer Melody, Valentina released her first album in 2021, entitled Plus Loin Qu'Un Rêve (No. 8).
