Landing an Interscope deal just a few months after his musical debut, rapper YXNG K.A quickly became one to watch in the early-2020s melodic trap scene. Growing up in a housing project in Philadelphia, YXNG K.A's career started almost by accident: after being encouraged to post music online by his friends, the teenager quickly found an audience on social media platforms. Securing a deal with Interscope just a few months after his debut single, the rapper spent 2019 working on his craft, releasing singles like "Whole Team" and "Soul Bleed." His debut EP, Baby Reaper, was released in May of 2020. Championing an Auto-Tuned, crooning style of melodic trap, the tape featured assists from Lil Muk and jetsonmade.
