Unhuman Disease

Unhuman Disease is solo black metal project written, produced, and performed by Nocturnus Dominus (Neil Sequichie). Based in Stilwell, Oklahoma, he has also led the bands Forbidden Eye, Rituals of a Blasphemer, and Black Devotion among others. Nocturnus Dominus has developed a cult-like reputation among black metal fans globally for his strict adherence to second wave production techniques, and for his unrelenting extremity in blasphemous, violent, and Satanic subject matter, which is wrapped in a cacophonous sound comprised of incessant blastbeats, buzzing guitars, and downtuned basslines. After Unhuman Disease issued the As My Blood Spills Upon Thy Altar demo in 2003, the underground metal press picked up on his first two full-lengths, 2006's Evil Reigns Supreme and 2008's Perpetuus Agonia, which were privately issued on CD-Rs in editions of 666 copies. 2009's Black Creations of Satan was released by Black Hate Productions in an edition of 1,000 copies and received enthusiastic reviews internationally. Into Satan's Kingdom, originally recorded in 2007, was issued the same year by Astrum Tempestas in an edition of 100 cassette copies. Given his many other projects and obsession with privacy, Nocturnus Dominus didn't release another Unhuman Disease full-length project until 2012's Dalla Benedizione del Diavolo for Black Hate Productions, and Glorification of Satanas in 2013 for Mexico City's Embrace My Funeral Records. 2014's Those Who Preach Perdition was a split with Sarkrista on Immortal Frost Productions. The label recruited Unhuman Disease a second time for the following year's eight-track split The Shadows of Death's Call, with fellow unholy metallers Silva Nigra, Inferna, and Sacrificium Carme. In 2016, Unhuman Disease released the album De Templi Autem Veteris Serpentis on Washington State's Moribund Records and signed a contract. The label then undertook an ambitious reissue program, offering a thoroughly remastered version of Dalla Benedizione Del Diavolo in 2020, followed by a repress of Glorification of Satanas in 2021.
