Trauffer
After fronting popular Bernese band Airbäg from 1997 to 2005, Swiss volksmusik singer Marc Trauffer launched a solo career in 2008 with the release of his debut album, Pallanza. His catchy, upbeat take on alpine folk and rock found great success with subsequent releases like 2010's Dr Heimat z'lieb, 2013's Fischer & Jäger, and 2014's Alpentainer, the latter two of which went gold and platinum, respectively. In addition to his musical career, Trauffer is the third-generation owner of the Trauffer family toy business, well-known throughout Switzerland for its iconic wooden toy cows and other farm animals. Released in 2016, his fifth album, Heiterefahne, went straight to number one on the Swiss charts.
