Daniel Sandèn-Warg
Daniel Sanden-Warg was only fifteen when he began playing in a fiddle duo with high school friend Magnus Stinnerbom. In the decade since, the Swedish duo has grown into what www.greenmanreview.com called "a unique blend of innovation, energy, and a bit of attitude." Warg and Stinnerbom first attracted attention when they performed the soundtrack of a local production of Hamlet in 1996. Their self-produced debut CD was released the following year. With the North American release of their 2000 album Must, featuring the accompaniment of Hedningarna percussionist Bjorn Tollin and Vasen guitarist Roger Tallroth, the duo's music transcended the borders of their homeland. Warg plays viola d'amour, an instrument with four playing strings and four resonating strings similar to the Norwegian hardinfele, Jew's Harp, and moraharpa, an ancient form of the nykelharpa.
