Consiglia Licciardi
Italian world/ethnic singer Consiglia Licciardi performed live for the first time in 1976; after attending singing classes, she soon came in first place at a regional music contest. Licciardi made her debut on TV in a show called Il Piacere Dell'Estate. Inspired by classical music, Consiglia Licciardi recorded Passione in 1989, and a year later, she participated in Roberto Murolo's Na Voce 'Na Chitarra. In 1991, the talented singer had the opportunity to sing "O Sole Mio" along with Frank Sinatra at the American Embassy, which became one of her major achievements. In 1994, Consiglia Licciardi turned to world music with the release of Alma Latina, followed by 1997's Ariammore, singing the main theme of the 2000 movie Apassionate, called "Core 'Ngrato."
