Beanz
American-Puerto Rican rapper Sabrina Perez (aka Beanz) prefers a story-driven approach to her rhymes, choosing beats that pay homage to different eras of hip-hop.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Perez was the eldest of seven siblings; she was very close to her mother and drew inspiration from her DJ father. She was already writing poetry at 11, which she quickly transferred to rapping. Her big break came after appearing on the reality TV show Rhythm and Flow, where she got to showcase her skills and garnered the affection of fans. Off the back of her new fame, she released two full projects: 2017's New Found Gold and 2021's Tables Turn.
