Alexa Cappelli

A vibrant, powerful singer, Alexa Cappelli pursued a colorful iteration of youthful pop after wrapping up a successful stint on The Voice in 2018. While she did not win her season, The Voice allowed Cappelli to release a series of singles in which she honed her bright, lively pop. By the time she released the Confused @ 22 EP in 2022, she had developed a sound that incorporated '90s alternative rock, new wave flair, and 21st century electronic rhythms. A native of Upland, California, Alexa Cappelli and her twin brother, Nick, were born on August 9, 1999. Cappelli fell in love with music at an early age, taking singing lessons from a local worship leader. At the age of 15, she enrolled in Orange County School of the Arts, where she specialized in commercial music. When she was a senior, she auditioned to appear on The Voice. Cappelli was cast in Season 14 of The Voice, which aired in 2018. Kelly Clarkson was enlisted as her coach. Cappelli was eliminated after singing OneRepublic's "Stop and Stare" during the Live Playoffs, yet her appearance on the show was enough to swiftly propel her into a recording career. She independently released the three-song EP The Colors That Make You in 2019, following it with four additional singles in 2020: "Forbidden," "Stuck in the Moment," "I'll Be Okay," and "Just Tell Me." Three additional songs -- "Can I Come Over?," "Say Something," and "Whiplash" -- arrived in 2021, with "Body Language" teasing the February 2022 release of the Confused @ 22 EP. After Confused @ 22, Cappelli signed with Arista, which issued the singles "Could've Just Left Me Alone," "Temporary," and "Lose Lose" in 2022, along with the seasonal cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas.
