Oui, Wilson Pickett reprend bel et bien la célèbre chanson des Beatles, mais donner son titre à l’album était une manœuvre marketing peut-être un peu superflue. Il n’en reste pas moins que sa version de la chanson-titre parvient à respecter en grande partie l’esprit de l’original, tout en lui apportant un rythme et une respiration totalement nouveaux. Pour ne rien gâter, nous avons également droit à un « Born to Be Wild ». Mais cet album est avant tout un disque de Wilson Pickett, qui nous le rappelle avec des morceaux comme « Back In Your Arms » et « My Own Style of Loving ». De splendides contributions de Duane Allman à la guitare viennent donner un rythme rock à un album des plus réjouissants.
