Dan Talevski

Canadian pop singer and songwriter, Dan Talevski, enjoyed early renown as a teenage YouTube star in the late 2000s before re-emerging in 2015 with the more developed sound of his hit single "Guilty as Sin." Recording for eOne Canada, he found further success with the romantic synth pop of "Knock Me Off My Feet" from his 2017 EP High Times. Born and raised in Georgetown, Ontario, Talevski became a YouTube star in his teens, earning a massive following when a 2007 video clip of him singing Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around, Comes Around" went viral. Over the next few years, he continued to upload various pop covers to his increasingly popular YouTube channel and in 2009, made his live debut as the opener for the Canadian leg of the Backstreet Boys' world tour. A year later, he signed a deal with Interscope Records and released his debut single, "Do It Again," featuring American rapper Soulja Boy. During this period, Talevski was being actively groomed for mainstream commercial pop stardom, working with high-profile producers like will.i.am and Timbaland. Before long, he began chafing at the major-label system and eventually left Los Angeles, heading back to Toronto to spend the next several years regaining creative control over his career. Talevski's second act began in 2015 when he signed a deal with eOne Music in Canada and issued the single, "Guilty as Sin," which featured a more thoughtful and mature pop sound and reached number 64 on the Canadian pop charts. He scored another chart hit the following year with the hooky "Knock Me Off My Feet." These two songs -- along with subsequent singles like "Birthday Suit" and "Papers" featuring Aleesia -- were later featured on Talevski's 2017 EP High Times. He returned in 2018 with "The Wire," followed a year later by "Home Alone."
