New Order, vom Keller auf die Tanzfläche

Wie wurde die dunkelste Band der Punk-Ära zu den Königen der Tanzfläche? New Order wurden in den frühen 80ern aus der Asche von Joy Division geboren, symbolisieren eine der ersten erfolgreichen Verbindungen zwischen Rock und Dance Music und schufen den makellosen Soundtrack des mürrischen Englands unter Margaret Thatcher.

Der Grunge in 10 Alben

Vor dreißig Jahren wurde Seattle zu DER Hauptstadt des Rock. Dies lag am Grunge. Dieser “schmutzige” Stil und diese “Scheiß drauf”-Einstellung, die den Spuren des Punk, Heavy Metal und Alternativ folgte, schlug wie ein Blitz in den Underground ein und wurde zu einem Welterfolg. In den 90er Jahren erstickte dieses Genre, das von einem System zu schnell verneint wurde, in seiner eigenen Karikatur. Ein Rückblick auf zehn repräsentative Alben.

Lhasa, der unvergessliche Komet

Lhasa de Sela hat mit nur drei Studio-Alben, einem Live-Mitschnitt und drei internationalen Tourneen in der Geschichte der aktuellen Popmusik eine einzigartige Spur hinterlassen. „The Living Road“ und „Live in Reykjavik“ sind drei selbständige und vollendete Werke, die eine seltsame, aber vertraute Welt, auf halbem Weg zwischen Traum und Wirklichkeit erkennen lassen. Diese Songs mit Hell-Dunkel-Kontrasten sind von den ehrlich gemeinten Gefühlen einer Künstlerin beseelt, deren zarter Gesang den zuhörenden Personen einen Vertrauenspakt vorschlägt. In Lhasa de Selas Leben ist alles vorhanden, um daraus eine Legende zu machen, eine schöne, aber erschütternde, emotionsgeladene Geschichte, wie die Etappen eines Romans.
