The Jauntee

Endlessly exploratory jam band the Jauntee take a new path every time they grace the stage, following in the footsteps of Phish with funky, surrealistic, and technically dazzling tunes and improvisation that morph into new forms constantly. The band remain enthusiastically unconcerned with adhering to genre or following any established playbook, both in studio output like their 2023 album Anything, as well as in their frequent live sets that are often documented in their Jaunts of Our Lives recording series. The Jauntee formed in Boston in 2010, made up of drummer/vocalist Scott Ferber, guitarist/vocalist Caton Sollenberger, bassist John Loland, and keyboardist/vocalist Tyler Adams. The band paired precision musicality with a willingness to wander, quickly developing a reputation for one-of-a-kind live shows and frequent touring. Their sound evolved in the studio as much as it did on the road, with the 2012 album Enjoy the Ride and its 2015 successor, Excelsior, tying together strands of bluegrass, funk, progressive pop, and celebratory songwriting. Eventually relocating to Denver, Colorado, the Jauntee made it a habit of averaging around 100 live shows a year, never playing the same set list twice. Evidence of some of these performances was captured on live albums like 2018's Always Never Knowing, as well as various volumes of the band's Jaunts of Our Lives series. In 2023, the band released the studio album Anything.
