Mito
Mexican reggae band El Mito was formed in 1994, motivated by a local movement called Razteca. Its first appearance took place at a Guadalajara's festival where El Mito performed a song called "Regresar," being awarded for Best Group. In 1996, El Mito recorded its first demo called Raíces, singing in Spanish, French, and English. When Carlos Villanueva decided to leave the band, musicians José Alfonso Martínez and Alberto Orozco joined in. El Mito had the opportunity to play in front of a major audience while participating in the Third Razteca Festival at Mexico City.
