Legend Of The Seagullmen
A boldly original hard rock supergroup featuring Brent Hinds (Mastodon), Danny Carey (Tool), Jimmy Hayward (director of Jonah Hex, Pixar animator), Pete Griffin (Dethklok, Zappa Plays Zappa), David Dreyer, Chris DiGiovanni, and Tim Dawson, Legend of the Seagullmen deliver a heady blend of progressive art-rock, heavy metal, and nautically themed psych-pop that invokes everyone from Blue Öyster Cult and Ghost to Alestorm and Tenacious D. The concept is the brainchild of brothers and artists Frank, Chris, and David Dreyer, who began building the narrative world of the Seagullmen in 2011 via concerts and films -- Frank describes it as "a 400,000-year-old story with pirates, sailors, a rock band, and mythical sea creatures." The group's eponymous debut studio album was released in 2018 via Dine Alone.
