Evamore

Formed by biotechnology leader Sir Christopher Thomas Evans, Evamore is a UK-based collective of musicians and actors, with proceeds for the project's singles typically going toward cancer-related charities. Evan launched Evamore in 2018, recruiting an all-star cast of European artists — including Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, composer/producer Brian Eno, actor Cillian Murphy, and Irish vocalists Sinéad O'Connor and Imelda May — to appear on the Evan-penned debut single "One More Yard." The song's lyrics were inspired by a collection of 30,000 letters written by young soldiers during World War I. Drawing a link between the soldiers' fighting spirit and the resilience of modern-day cancer patients, Evans donated funds from the single's release to The Cancer Awareness Trust. An EP, also titled One More Yard, was released in 2018, featuring four versions of the title track. Two years later, Evamore released its second single, "This Christmas Time." The holiday single featured another lineup of diverse artists, including Ozzy Osbourne, Duran Duran's Andy Taylor, and Welsh singer Casi Wyn. During the summer of 2023, as Evans prepped for the announcement of Evamore's full-length debut album, Sinéad O'Connor unexpectedly passed away. Her death prompted fans to reexamine much of her back catalog, including "One More Yard," which entered the Top 25 LyricFind chart in America at number 7.
