Chill Rob G
Born Robert Frazier, Chill Rob G is a gruff Queens, NY, MC who was part of Wild Pitch producer the 45 King's Flavor Unit MCs in the early '90s. He released one album, Ride the Rhythm, but is best-known for an unlikely association with techno-pop group Snap. Snap had an international hit with "The Power," based around samples of Rob G's "Let the Words Flow." A different version was recorded for Ride the Rhythm, but the damage to Chill's credibility -- a tough New York MC with a dance-pop hit -- was already done. Little was heard from the talented rapper until he appeared on two tracks on British producers DSP's 2002 album, In the Red.
