Andrew Clarke
Andrew John Clarke, born April 6, 1976 in Walsall, England, is considered a pioneer of the drum & bass style. His peers have dubbed him "The Armin Van Buuren of Drum and Bass". His nickname is justified by the creation of the Ram Records label in the early 1990s and by his incredible virtuosity, which enables him to juggle three turntables during his live appearances. The son of Mick Clarke, bassist and founding member of The Rubettes, remains best known to an insider audience and has released very few singles since his debut. In 2013, "Haunted / Workout" was his first single in ten years. Andy C was proclaimed best drum & bass DJ at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards in 2014. Released in September 2014, "Heartbeat Loud", featuring Fiora Cutler on vocals, is his first track to chart in the UK top fifty. It was also thanks to "Heartbeat Loud " that this fan of West Ham United soccer club made a name for himself in France in early 2015.
