草東沒有派對

Known for their daring sonic landscapes, No Party for Cao Dong are a Taiwanese post-rock band hailing from the Shilin District in Taipei. Formed in 2015 by high school friends Wood Lin (vocals), Chu Chu (guitar), Sam Yang (bass), and Fan Fan (drums), the four-piece released a self-titled EP that same year that sold out on the day of its release. They came back only a year after with The Servile (2016), their studio debut and a bold experimental LP that seamlessly blended indie rock with such varied styles as disco, grunge, and metal. The album earned the band 3 Golden Melody Awards for Best Band, Best New Artist, and Best Song of the Year for “Simon Says.” Following The Servile’s success, they embarked on a global tour throughout 2018 and 2019, featuring performances at SXSW and the legendary Glastonbury festival in the UK. They also made an incursion into the video game world by writing the theme song to the first-person psychological horror game Devotion. In 2020, the band released the single “Usual,” a preview of their sophomore effort, which was delayed until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
