Recorded during the band's farewell tour, the live Anthology captures Thrice in 2012 during their last live performances together. With songs from throughout the band's entire career, the two-disc album makes good on its promise, pulling together material from their eight studio albums to create a comprehensive survey of nearly 15 years of post-hardcore. For Thrice devotees, Anthology provides an opportunity to stroll down memory lane, laying out every step of their evolution as songwriters with a powerful live performance that finds the band leaving nothing behind. While live albums can often have the feeling of opportunistic best-of compilations, Anthology is a collection that will not only give newcomers a sample of everything the band has done, but will also serve as a document of the band's last days that fans will be able to revisit and experience again and again.
