Perfume: The Story of a Murderer ist das Soundtrack-Album von Sir Simon Rattle und den Berliner Philharmonikern von 2006, das für den Film von Tom Tykwer (deutscher Titel: Das Parfüm - Die Geschichte eines Mörders) eingespielt wurde, der auf dem Roman von Patrick Süskind basiert. Die Musik ist im Allgemeinen langsam, weich und stimmungsvoll, enthält viele sich aufschwingende Chorpassagen, die vom lettischen Staatschor gesungen werden, und Gesangssoli von der Sopranistin Chen Reiss und dem jungen Sopran Victor de Maizière. Tykwer hat die Filmmusik, die im Kontext des Films zur Geltung kommt, zusammen mit Johnny Klimek und Reinhold Heil geschrieben. Als Soundtrack, der flüchtige Düfte heraufbeschwört und das Porträt des Parfumeurs Grenouille zeichnet, ist die Musik geheimnisvoll und eindringlich, sodass sie ziemlich populär geworden ist.
