Robert Lowry
Robert Lowry was an American music composer who was one of the persons responsible for the compilation of Sunday school songs during the mid-to-late nineteenth century. This interest took root during the post Civil War years. The leading poet was Fanny Jane Crosby and her texts were set to music by Lowry and Doane.
