The Yellow No. 5 EP is probably Heatmiser's most accessibly poppy release, laying out five short, snappy tunes with plenty of hooks in them -- it's almost as if the record was intended to balance the darker, more soulful rock sound of Cop and Speeder, the album which accompanied Yellow No. 5. Which of these two sounds is preferable is, of course, entirely up to the listener.
