Nueva Era finds Amistades Peligrosas at their best, playing a set of Latin pop songs with layered, synthesized and acoustic arrangements. There are a few weak songs on the tape, but the duo's harmonies are hypnotic and their soft-pop arrangments are appealing, making Nueva Era a pleasant listen.
