Avec son look de vieux rockeur paré de bagues et de boucles d’oreilles, ses cheveux longs hirsutes, ses blousons en cuir semblant sortir de “Easy Rider”, le road movie culte de la génération hippie, et sa voix pointue comme une jambe de compas, Dominique Visse promène depuis plus de quarante ans sa personnalité singulière dans le monde souvent conventionnel de la musique classique. En 1978, il a fondé l’Ensemble Clément Janequin qui allait remettre au goût du jour la chanson polyphonique de la Renaissance française. On leur doit l’émergence de tout un répertoire à travers une discographie exceptionnelle pour le label Harmonia Mundi.

Compositrices, ces méconnues

De Sappho de Mytilène à Kaija Saariaho en passant par Clara Schumann, plusieurs femmes ont su déjouer les codes machistes du milieu pour passer à la composition. Si le paysage de la musique classique a largement été dominé par les hommes ces derniers siècles, les œuvres de leurs consœurs, pionnières ou contemporaines, sont tout aussi passionnantes. Défense et illustration de la composition au féminin en onze portraits musicaux.

Bruno Walter, souvenirs d’un esprit disparu

Écouter les enregistrements de Bruno Walter à la lumière des splendides remastérisations publiées par Sony Classical, c’est s’abreuver à une culture humaniste. Immense chef d’orchestre, la musique est pour lui un sacerdoce, un art de vivre et un art de penser. Ses enregistrements ont conservé son art du chant, intense mais jamais sentimental, grâce à une ligne claire animée d’un rythme souple, assurant clarté, cohérence et vitalité.
