Attention, enregistrement de légende, bien que très rarement édité. Il est enfin de retour! Ces oeuvres si envoûtantes de Benjamin Britten ont-elles été d'ailleurs un jour aussi bien défendues qu'en ces jours des 14-15 décembre 1964 au St. John’s College, Cambridge? Pour A Ceremony of Carols, George Guest dut s'y reprendre à deux fois, le compositeur, n'étant pas très satisfait de certains passages, avait demandé explicitement à ce qu'ils soient corrigés... Plus généralement, la prise de son signée Kenneth Wilkinson, la harpe aérienne de Marisa Robles concourent à la magie de ces interprétations, au cours desquelles les "boys" dispensent des trésors de clarté polyphonique et d'inventivité.
