Pour Mindless Behavior, le succès qui semblait évident se fait attendre. Après la performance en demi-teinte de #1 Girl en 2011, All Around the World semble mal embarqué. Déjà le premier single extrait de l'album « Keep Her on the Low » n'est entré dans aucun classement (et ils sont nombreux aux Etats-Unis), mais le plus inquiétant est encore le contenu du disque.
Rien, ou peu de choses, ne vient différencier All Around the World du dernier album de Ne-Yo, Usher, ou Chris Brown. Certes ce ne sont pas là de mauvaises références, sauf qu'en tant que challenger on est en droit d'attendre plus de Mindless Behavior. Au moins une certaine fougue adolescente, là où il n'y a que plats calculs.
All Around the World est d'une sagesse déprimante, bien calé entre du R&B contemporain (« Used to Be », « Ready for Love ») et des essais dance sur-gonflés (« All Around the World », « Brightside »). Le souci est qu'au-delà d'une image futuriste, rien ne dépasse chez Mindless Behavior, a tel point que tous les parents du monde seraient prêts à laisser leur progéniture sortir avec un membre du groupe.
Tout n'est cependant pas perdu, le potentiel du quatuor étant évident. Il faut juste que Mindless Behavior accepte de confier ses futures réalisations à des producteurs d'envergure, qui auront tôt fait de transformer le gentil brouet en redoutable machine à tubes. Et faire oublier ce décevant All Around the World.
