Dan Fogelberg was one of the most successful singer/songwriters of the '70s and '80s, an artist whose work communicated a warmth and compassion that matched his songs of romantic love and a passion for life and the world around him. Fogelberg's career was cut short by his death in 2007, but his music continues to influence other artists, and this album features 14 interpretations of his songs from a number of noted rock, pop, and country stars. A Tribute to Dan Fogelberg includes performances by Garth Brooks ("Phoenix"), the Eagles ("Part of the Plan"), Zac Brown ("Leader of the Band"), Jimmy Buffett ("There's a Place in the World for a Gambler"), Vince Gill ("Longer"), Michael McDonald ("Better Change"), Boz Scaggs ("Hard to Say"), and seven more.
