Topher

Topher – born Christopher Townsend in Kilmichael, Mississippi in 1991 – is a rapper, songwriter, conservative commentator, activist, and social media star. The son of blues artist Little Willie Farmer. Topher attended Montgomery County High School and graduated in 2009. He began performing hip-hop music while in his early teens but didn’t pursue it as a career until after he left a six year stint in the United States Air Force in 2017. As a conservative Republican, he began addressing politics on several social media platforms, which raised as much backlash as support. Joining the Conservative Hype House collective, he quickly gained over half a million followers. He soon combined his politics with his music, releasing the digital single “The Patriot” (featuring the Marine Rapper), which rose to Number 1 on Billboard’s Rap Digital Songs chart. However, when it was discovered that he had performed the song live shortly before the January 6, 2021 storming of the United States Capitol, the song was pulled from many streaming digital platforms. In 2021, Topher released his debut album No Apologies. In October 2021, Topher released the single “Let’s Go Brandon” (featuring D. Cure and the Marine Rapper), which was based on an anti-President Joe Biden phrase that became popular amongst Republicans during the latter part of the year.
