Ion Miles

As a member of the Bananahaze Gang, BHZ for short, Ion Miles has been one of the rising stars in German hip-hop since the mid-2010s. Just like his regular crew mates Longus Mongus, Dead Dawg, Monk and BigPat, the MC's music is a mix of lo-fi, trap, cloud rap and boom bap - as can be heard on 'Drop Top', a single from 2826 (both 2018), BHZ's debut album. Now known beyond the capital's borders, Ion Miles set out in 2019 to drop the collabo album Game Over with his congenial rap partner Monk. In the same year, the Berliner from the Schöneberger Kiez celebrated considerable chart success with BHZ: 3062 made it to number 57 in the German LP Parade, while the record even entered the Swiss charts at number 49. A triumph that was topped once again in 2020 with Kiezromantik . The street-credible quintet's sixth studio album manages to position itself in the top 10 of the album charts. But Ion Miles is also increasingly moving into the limelight at the single level: in 2021, the track 'Halligalli ' (feat. Longus Mongus, Gustav, Big Pat, Paul and Zachi) reached number 92 on the German charts, while 'Blueberry Yum Yum ' (feat. Monk and Dead Dawg) reached number 67 just two weeks later.
