Dallas Remington

A proud country girl who hails from Kentucky, not Texas, Dallas Remington offers fresh spins on down-home traditions in her music. She sings about family and freedom -- indeed, the latter provides the title for her 2018 debut EP -- enlivening these familiar country topics with a dash of rock and pop, influences she moved to the forefront by releasing a cover of Adele's "Hello" as her first single in 2015. Remington started playing music as a child, cutting her teeth at local churches, fairs, and festivals. At first she sang gospel, earning recognition from the North American Country and Gospel Music Association International, who named her Entertainer of the Year ages 13-17 in 2017; the following year, she took home the organization's prize for Female Vocalist of the Year ages 18-21. By that point, she had already dipped her toe into secular music. In 2015, she released a digital debut single: a countrified cover of Adele's "Hello." Remington went full country in 2017 with the single "Found Her Freedom," a song that anchored her 2018 mini-LP Freedom; the record also featured the "Never Turned Around" single. The humorous "Huntin' Season" appeared in 2019, followed by "Uncommon Man," her ode to the working class, in 2020.
