Award-winning Mandopop singer, songwriter, musician, and producer Xiao Yu was born Sung Hsiang-feng on November 22, 1983, in Zhongli, Taoyuan, Taiwan. Originally a songwriter and producer for Mandarin artists, he released his first single, “One & Only,” in May 2007. His debut album, Classmate Xiao You That’s Me, followed in early 2008. The album was a success, winning the Album of the Year award from the Chines Musicians Exchange Association. Xiao Yu followed it up with 2009’s Standing Here. After the release of several singles – “2020 Where Are You” and “The Power of Beauty” – he returned in late 2012 with his third album, One More Time. The album earned him another Album of the Year award from the Chines Musicians Exchange Association as well as several more awards from Metro Radio Mandarin Hits Music Award. After a five year wait, Xiao Yu returned with the album With You (2017), which was followed by 2021’s Be Nothing. In 2022, he released the single “Broken Wholeness,” which was the theme to the Netflix show She and Her.
