La banda australiana de blues-rock The Teskey Brothers encaró la grabación de su tercer álbum The Winding Way con el claro objetivo de expandir su sonido. A tales efectos el grupo escogió trabajar con el productor Eric J. Dubowsky, alguien asociado con artistas que poco tienen que ver con el género como St. Vincent, Flume o Odesza, para asegurarse de que el disco no adhiriera demasiado firmemente a las convenciones del blues.
