Contrariamente a todas las apariencias, el proyecto Garbage sólo estuvo suspendido indefinidamente durante ocho años -aunque pareciera que la banda hubiera pasado más de una década en los invernaderos del pop. A diferencia del par de discos que sacaron en los 2000, no hay aquí tentativa alguna de incorporar nuevos sonidos o estilos, solo el aferrarse al brutal asalto sónico de "Stupid Girl" y "Vox". Los Garbage se han limitado a pulir su esencia y no parecen tener miedo a revivir recuerdos de sus glorias pasadas. Siendo viejos profesionales, son capaces de confeccionar su producto de manera limpia y eficiente, agregando solo los destellos de ruido justos y necesarios para cortar la oscuridad. Cada una de los elementos distintivos de Garbage se hace presente en este disco, que representa a la vez un testamento y una reactivación de las muchas habilidades del grupo. La única concesión a la edad más avanzada de sus miembros se encuentra en las letras de Shirley Manson, mucho más conscientes de sí mismas que en el pasado.
