In late 2018, American electronic dance producer Steve Aoki issued the third installment in his chart-topping series, Neon Future, Vol. 3 (Ultra/Dim Mak). Like previous Neon Futures, this chapter featured a dizzying list of guest musicians -- such as Louis Tomlinson, Daddy Yankee, Lil Yachty, and Mike Posner as well as some unconventional pairings with blink-182, Jimmy Eat World's Jim Adkins, Lady Antebellum, AJR, and even science guy, Bill Nye -- lending their vocals to Aoki's festival-ready anthems. The BTS-assisted "Waste It on Me" became one of his highest-performing singles to date, rising into the top 10 of the dance singles chart and the Hot 100.
