La cantautora californiana Lily Kershaw comienza su segundo álbum dando un repentino golpe de timón con el dream pop radiante de "Unrequited Night", un sonido apenas insinuado en sus precedentes sencillos. Lanzado en 2020, Arcadia es un trabajo bastante diferente al agradable folk-pop de su debut Midnight in the Garden de 2013. Produciendo junto a Ben Cooper, Kershaw reviste sus canciones de resplandecientes sintetizadores analógicos, singulares elementos orquestales y etéreas armonías vocales. Ecos del pop majestuoso y glacial de Lana del Rey resuenan por aquí y allá en Arcadia, pero en su mayor parte Kershaw logra desarrollar su propia identidad y encaminarse hacia un territorio creativo más ambiguo y arriesgado.
