Desde comienzos de los 2000, mencionar el nombre de Tiesto era hablar de una superestrella de la música electrónica bailable, pese a que sus discos tendían a subvertir las reglas del juego. A Town Called Paradise significa un regreso a la corriente principal de la EDM, aunque en honor a la verdad, algo decepcionante. El primer sencillo "Red Lights" suena a "One Headlights" de The Wallflowers remezclado por Avicii, sin nada que revele el sello personal de Tiesto. Prácticamente todo el álbum parece estar cortado con la misma tijera, temas llenos de clichés del género hechos para encontrar el éxito radial, que funcionarían mejor como sencillos extendidos, pero que se vuelven redundantes en el contexto de un álbum. Entre los vocalistas invitados aparecen Icona Pop, Krewella y Michel Zitron.
