Yung Miami

One-half of the brash multi-platinum rap duo City Girls, Yung Miami is no less flamboyant or irreverent when recording on her own. Since breaking through alongside partner JT, the rapper has released the charting "Rap Freaks" (2021) and "50/50" (2024), and has been featured on tracks by the likes of Diddy and Lola Brooke, as City Girls have continued to add to their pile of hits. Yung Miami (Caresha Romeka Brownlee) was born and raised in the city that inspired her stage name. She and friend JT unintentionally launched their rap careers in 2017 with "Fu*k Dat Ni**a," a diss track that led to their deal with Quality Control. They released two albums, along with the Top 40 and platinum singles "Twerk" and "Act Up," before Yung Miami branched out in 2021. That October, Miami was featured on Quavo's "Strub tha Ground," then made her solo headlining debut on Quality Control with "Rap Freaks," a track full of name-dropping wordplay that entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 81. While City Girls remained active, Miami appeared on tracks such as Gucci Mane's "First Impression," the "Queens Remix" of Diddy's "Gotta Move On," and a remix of Lola Brooke's "Don't Play with It." In 2024, she followed "Rap Freaks" with the casually commanding "50/50."
