The Wrong Words
The San Francisco punk garage rockers the Wrong Words formed when guitarist/singer Josh Miller and drummer Layla Cooper's band White Music split up. After adding bassist Ajax Green to the lineup, they began playing shows around town. Their tough-as-nails sound soon attracted the ear of Chicago label Trouble in Mind, who released the group's first single "What Went Wrong?" in 2010. The band's energetic self-titled debut was released in early 2011, also by Trouble in Mind. After a little bit of maturing musically (adding horns and strings, plus the occasional ballad), the trio's second album, Everything Is Free, saw the light of day in the fall of 2013.
