TANK 呂建忠

Tank is a Taiwanese singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who scored multiple Top 10 hits on Hong Kong's Mandarin Singles chart. He as born as "Lü Jianzhong" on February 6, 1982, in Taitung City, Taiwan. Originally celebrated as a songwriter for other artists, he wrote material for pop singer Vic Chou, girl group S.H.E., and solo artist Will Pan before releasing his debut album, Fighting, in 2006. One of the year's most popular Mandopop records, Fighting earned Tank multiple nominations at the Hong Kong TVB8 Awards in 2006, with the singer ultimately winning "Best Singer-Songwriter" and "Best New Male Artist." He also contributed several songs to the soundtrack of the Taiwanese TV show KO One, including the opening and closing themes. The album was the best-selling Taiwanese soundtrack of 2006, and Tank continued his momentum by releasing a second solo album, Keep Fighting, in early 2007. That same year, he won "Best New Male Artists" at the HITO Radio Music Awards and performed the first track, "Do You Want To Bull Fight," on the Bull Fighting Original Soundtrack. Another solo album, The 3rd Round, was released in 2009, with the song "全世界都停電" becoming a Mandopop hit. Tank remained a popular artist throughout the 2010s and earned another round of hits during the 2020s, with "寫給明天的情書 - 《愛的奧特萊斯》感動宣傳曲" peaking at Number 1 on the Top 50 - Mandarin Singles chart in early 2021. "我的禱告你聽得到" cracked the Top 10 later that year, and "欲擒故縱" climbed to Number 5 in January 2022.
