Snow Man

Snow Man is a multi-platinum-selling Japanese boy band specializing not only in mainstream J-pop, but also in acrobatics and intricately choreographed dance routines. Formed in 2012, the group's original lineup included Tatsuya Fukazawa, Daisuke Sakuma, Shota Watanabe, Ryota Miyadate, Hikaru Iwamoto, and Ryohei Abe. Snow Man's members spent years serving as backup dancers for Tackey & Tsubasa, A.B.C-Z, and other established artists, while also appearing in the Japanese film Shonen-tachi and several regional stage plays. Following the addition of three new members in January 2019, the nine-piece group began releasing original material in early 2020, beginning with the single "D.D." Released alongside the SixTONES' song "Imitation Rain," "D.D." topped the Oricon singles chart and was certified "million," the RIAJ's highest certification. Snow Man's next release, "KISSIN' MY LIPS/Stories," arrived in October and accomplished the same feat, returning the group to the top of the Oricon charts. When 2020 drew to a close several months later, "Imitation Rain/D.D." stood as the year's best-selling single, with "KISSIN' MY LIPS/Stories" ranking at Number 5. A third single, "Grandeur," was released in January 2021 and became Snow Man's third consecutive Number 1 hit, followed later that spring by the chart-topping concert film Snow Man ASIA TOUR 2D.2D. By March 2023, Snow Man had extended its number of back-to-back Number 1 hits to eight chart-topping songs, including "Brother Beat" and the triple-platinum "Secret Touch." In May 2023, the group returned to Number 1 once again with I Do Me, the band's third album.
