Opgezwolle
A Dutch rap trio made up of DJ Dippy Delic, MC Sticky Steez, and MC Freaky Rico, Opgezwolle got their start by winning the Oogst van Overjissel talent contest in 2001. Their debut album, Spuugdingen -- or Spittings In The Mic, was released that same year. A 2002 tour of their home nation earned them the attention of label Topnotch, who then signed them to a deal. 2003 found Opgezwolle releasing the double CD album, Vloeistof/Brandstof, which contained a regular printed CD with music (Vloeistof) and a blank CD-R (Brandstof) that could be loaded with music from the band's website. Their third album took a bit more time to get to the public, and in 2006 Opgezwolle released Eigen Wereld. It turned out to be a top five hit in the Netherlands, and was a critical success. The group was also well known for a great many compilation appearances and collaborations.
