MyGO!!!!!
Formed in 2022, MyGo!!!!! is an all-female cartoon band launched by the Japanese anime franchise BanG Dream!. BanG Dream! itself was launched as a television series in 2015, with a storyline that revolved around virtual girl groups like Poppin'Party, Morfonica, and Roselia. The musicians in those various groups were portrayed by Japanese voice actresses, many of whom could also play their characters' instruments. As BanG Dream! expanded into a multi-media franchise with mobile games, a popular manga series, and feature-length films, more bands were added to the roster. MyGo!!!!! Was introduced in 2022, with a virtual lineup whose members included vocalist Takamatsu Tomori, guitarists Chihaya Anon and Kaname Raana, bassist , Nagasaki Soyo, and drummer Shiina Taki. MyGo!!!!! began playing live shows that same year, with the group's voice actresses covering their faces to maintain their anonymity. The group's first single, "Mayoiuta," was released in November 2022 and peaked at number 43 on the Oricon Singles Chart. The group continued to perform in public, too, and revealed the identities of its real-life members at a show in April 2023. A full-length album, 迷跡波, arrived toward the end of the year, reaching number 7 on the Top 50 Oricon chart in November 2023.
