Jean-Claude Annoux

Born Jean-Claude Bournizien on May 15, 1939 in Beauvais (60), Jean-Claude Annoux (stage name) took up the violin as a child. In 1957, he began writing songs for the likes of Marcel Amont and Richard Anthony, before launching his own career in 1963 with his first single, La Messe De Pâques / La Fête À La Java, released by Pathé. 1965 marked a turning point, with his first popular success. The title track "Aux Jeunes Loups", with its minimalist production and emblematic text, became a catchphrase and introduced Jean-Claude Annoux to a wide audience. In the same year, he won the Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles Cros, and in 1966 he released his first album, Jean-Claude Annoux. Despite an already established career and a number of hit songs, such as "Les Touristes " and "Vive La Mariée", Annoux's fame didn't reach the level of his hit song, and his productions became more discreet from the 1970s onwards. A car accident put the brakes on his career, and his musical dazzle became rarer in the 1990s. Although his discography included nine albums, Jean-Jacques Annoux gradually withdrew from the music industry, before passing away on October 2, 2004 in Martigues (13).
