Broken By The Scream

Broken By The Scream (BBTS) is a Japanese female metal screamo idol group that formed in October 2016. Comprising members Yabusame Ayame, Nozukidaira Io, Uriin Kagura, and Nanaougi Tsubaki, the group also previously included members Mitateda Sumire and Kumanomido Yae. Known for their eclectic mix of various metal singing styles, their musical journey began with the debut of their self-titled single album, Broken By The Scream, in January 2017. Later the same year, they further showcased their unique sound with the mini-album SCREAMING RHAPSODY which was released on November 8, 2017. 2018 saw the release of their first full-length album, AN ALIEN'S PORTRAIT. The album was a testament to the band's evolving sound and was well-received by fans and critics alike. This was followed by the group's second studio album, Noisy Night Fever, in 2019. The year 2021 featured a lot of reinvention for the band, with the departure of Kumanomido Yae in December 2021, replaced by Nanaougi Tsubaki (formerly of the group Merry Bad End). That same year, the group released their mini-album Extended (2021), demonstrating the band's capacity for musical evolution and diversity. Following closely on its heels, in 2022, Broken By The Scream marked their return with their third studio album RISE into CHAOS. In 2023, the band's drive to explore and expand continued with the release of another mini-album titled Whitewater Park, which entered the Japanese Top 100 at Number 60.
