Alé Araya
Alé Araya is a Los Angeles-based artist, producer, and musician. She was born to a Chilean father and a Polish-British American mother. During her teenage years, she began writing songs, utilizing a combination of classical training and online tutorials to learn how to produce her music, which often fuses the soulful sounds inspired by artists like Erykah Badu, Kali Uchis, and KÜCKA with elements of electronic and hip-hop production values. Her professional journey began with collaborations with artists such as Merlyn Wood of BROCKHAMPTON, Curtis Waters, and Marco Luka. Her single "Orange Juice," created in collaboration with Rozie Ramati, gained significant traction on TikTok, amassing over a million views before its official release. In 2022, she unveiled her single "Treetops," which was quickly lauded for its message of self-love and acceptance. The track was included in Alé Araya's debut EP, In Visions (2023), which skillfully incorporates a diverse mix of jazz, R&B, soul, Latin, pop, and electronic music influences. Alongside her work as an artist, she has produced music for artists such as Saba, Merlyn Wood, Alice Glass, and Riovaz, and is also a member of KOGO, a POC-led artist community.
