Lathan Warlick

Dancer-turned-rapper Lathan Warlick utilizes trap-styled beats and country-flavored productions to spread his messages of positivity. The Christ-following Tennessean has released a crop of singles and numerous EPs since his commercial debut in 2015. The EPs range from Tellem That Im Comin (2016), featuring the assertive breakthrough title song, to My Way (2021) and Let's Be Honest (2022), his highly collaborative first recordings through major-label Columbia. Before he was known for music, Warlick, who is originally from Jackson, Tennessee, expressed himself as a hip-hop dancer. A video of his was reposted on social media by Chris Brown, but he soon opted to promote upliftment as a rapper, inspired by a life-threatening incident. Having started by recording clips in which he added new verses to contemporary hits, he continued to hone his budding talent with wholly original tracks. These were received well enough to encourage him to release music commercially. Warlick issued his first EP in 2015 and made greater strides in 2016 with "Needa Blessing" and "Tellem That Im Comin." The latter was quickly streamed over a million times. After numerous singles and a few more EPs, such as 2018's A Church in the Trap, Warlick's online following had increased exponentially, but it wasn't until 2020 that he signed publishing and label deals and left behind his day job as a well-traveled welder. Backed by distribution from Columbia, Warlick continued in 2021 with My Way, an EP boasting featured appearances from high-profile contemporary country artists such as RaeLynn, Lauren Alaina, and Dustin Lynch. Warlick kicked off 2022 with the Let's Be Honest EP, which included features from KB and Blessing Offor.
