Georgia Webster
A pop singer/songwriter whose deceptively light touch hides her facility with hooks and shape-shifting productions, Georgia Webster first made an impression when her song "Tell Your Mom" went viral on social media in 2020, and had enough of a country feel to land Webster a label deal, yet her subsequent singles -- including "Delusional" and "Attention," from early 2024 -- showcased a lithe, stylish musician, one who slyly blurred the borders separating pop and country.
A native of the small town of Hampden, Massachusetts, Georgia Webster's initial creative endeavors concerned fiction. The music of Taylor Swift convinced Webster to teach herself guitar. As she grew into her teens, she began writing songs, equally as besotted by John Mayer as she was Carrie Underwood, gravitating toward the likes of Tyler Childers as she grew older. After attending a summer songwriting workshop, Webster started releasing her original songs on social media. The first to click was "Tell Your Mom," which quickly amassed a significant following, drawing the attention of Paul DiGiovanni, a producer who'd previously worked with Sam Hunt and Dan + Shay. DiGiovanni helped shape "Tell Your Mom" into a polished song, and the end product earned Webster a contract with Sony Music Nashville/River House.
"Push & Pull," her first single for Sony, appeared in March 2021, with the EP First Goodbye arriving before the end of the year. "I Hate Phone Calls (Long Distance Sucks)" showed up in 2022, followed swiftly by the EP Chapter 1: Things We're Not Saying. Webster toured with Kelsea Ballerini in 2023, then ushered in a new era with "Attention" and "Delusional," both released in early 2024.
