Fang The Goldenman

Real name Guy Assoumou Essono, Gabonese rapper Fang The Goldenman was born in Libreville on April 17, 1983. It was here that he grew up before moving on to the towns of Port-Gentil and Bitam. He took an early interest in rap, notably through the Siya po'ossi x and the V2A4, two outstanding Gabonese groups, but also by listening assiduously to the legendary Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.. He came to prominence in 2005 with his debut track "L'after ki die", quickly followed by "La tumbero". In 2006, he founded his own label, Engong-Inc, which housed his next project, a track entitled "Le métronome". Two years later, his album Mon Dernier Bling was released, before Fang The Goldenman took on a new challenge: bringing together no fewer than fifteen artists on one track via the Milla Boss project. But from 2013 onwards, he broke new ground with the release of his track "T.L.M.N.O.", which inaugurated a long series of hit singles including "Bad Boy " in 2018, and "Mon sacré", "Abusé" and "Akeng" in 2021. The following year, he was back in the news with the singles "LA DD" and " Tu vois ça comment".
